Massages
Four massage traditions, distinct in pace and pressure.
Swedish, Indian deep-tissue, Pada Abhyangam and Champi, performed by therapists trained on-site in private treatment rooms.
Choosing a format
The difference is more than pressure.
Swedish massage uses long, gliding strokes across the body at light to moderate pressure. Indian deep-tissue work is slower and more concentrated, with intensity built gradually through areas such as the back, shoulders, neck and hips. Pada Abhyangam stays with the feet and lower legs; Champi stays with the scalp, neck and shoulders and may be performed with or without oil.
Sessions take place in a private treatment room. Allow time to change and a few quiet minutes afterward; loose, washable clothing is useful when oil is involved.
