Swedish massage

Long, gliding strokes with light-to-moderate pressure

A full-body session with an even pace and neutral base oil.

Duration: 60–75 min Setting: Private treatment room Pressure: Light to moderate
Therapist gliding both hands along the oiled arm and back of a woman lying face down on a massage couch

What it is

Long strokes, slow kneading and light rhythmic tapping move across the whole body at a steady pace. Pressure remains light to moderate.

A neutral base oil keeps the movement fluid. Unlike deep-tissue work, the sequence remains full-body and does not dwell on one tight area; the pace and pressure stay even from start to finish.
