Massages

Champi

Traditional Indian head, neck and shoulder massage

Steady, rhythmic work with an unhurried pace.

Duration: 30–45 min Setting: Private treatment room Focus: Scalp, neck and shoulders
Therapist massaging a seated woman's scalp with both hands clearly placed on her head

What it is

The session begins at the scalp, moves through the temples and neck, and finishes across the upper shoulders.

Champi may be performed with or without oil. The warm-oil version leaves oil in the hair; the oil-free version keeps the same focused area without needing to wash it out afterward.

Who it suits

  • A focused alternative to full-body massage.
  • Neck and shoulder tension after desk or screen work.
  • Those who enjoy warm-oil scalp massage.

Check before booking

  • Scalp condition, infection or open wound.
  • Recent neck injury, cervical spine condition or migraine worsened by touch.
  • Sensitivities to specific oils or fragrances.
  • Recent head or eye surgery.

Before the session

Leave hair loose and skip styling products. Note any scalp sensitivity, allergy or recent hair colouring.

After

Allow a few minutes before standing. Avoid cold air immediately afterwards; hair-washing guidance is provided after the session.
