What it is

Njavara rice and herbs are prepared with milk, tied into linen boluses and applied warm in rhythmic strokes across the body.

The bolus, rather than loose powder, is the point of contact, giving the treatment its warm, padded feel.

Who it suits

  • Those seeking warm, rhythmic bodywork.
  • People who prefer linen-bolus work to conventional massage strokes.
  • Those comfortable with a longer, unhurried treatment.

Check before booking

  • Pregnant or in the very early postpartum period.
  • Dairy allergy or known rice sensitivity.
  • Skin conditions in active flare.
  • Fever, infection, or significant heat-related symptoms.
  • On blood thinners or with a bleeding tendency.

Before the session

Eat lightly and mention any rice or dairy allergy in advance. Let us know about other Ayurveda treatments booked around the same time.

After
